Perseids Shower – Perseiden Meteor Regen 2013

Yesterday night we decided to go for a little Perseid hunt out in the woods… When we arrived at the location, there was a lot of low clouds rolling in and we had a window of about 20 minutes. In this time we got about 30 meteorites and a few of them I have caught on camera. (As always, the best ones were out of sight)

As an added bonus I got a fantastic iridium flare 🙂

10 minutes after we arrived back home, the heavens opened and we had a fantastic thunderstorm as an added bonus…

The two lines either side of the Andromeda galaxy are sattelite tracks, the little one on the left is a perseid.
